The story begins in 1927, Joe and Antoinette Ghiringhelli held their wedding-night dinner at a restaurant tucked into the hills of Fairfax. Charmed by the special property—originally opened in 1916 as a lodge—the young newlyweds made a promise to each other that one day they would own it. In 1937 their dream became a reality. To celebrate, Joe planted a grove of redwood trees, which have since grown into an "Enchanted Forest" of towering giants that have sheltered thousands of couples as they exchange wedding vows.
